Last updated: 22 July 2026
Peninsula Visuals (“we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, submit an enquiry, request a quote, book a service or otherwise communicate with us.
1. Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, phone number, project location, preferred dates, service requirements, messages, billing details and other information relevant to your enquiry or booking.
Our website hosting provider and related technical services may also automatically process limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, requested pages, date and time of access, and security or server logs.
2. How we collect information
We collect information when you use our contact form, email or call us, request or accept a quote, make a payment, provide project instructions, submit feedback or otherwise interact with Peninsula Visuals.
Our contact form is processed through Web3Forms. Information entered into the form is transmitted to Web3Forms so it can deliver the enquiry to our nominated email inbox.
3. Why we use your information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and prepare quotes;
- plan, schedule and deliver photography or videography services;
- communicate about weather, access, safety, delivery and project changes;
- issue invoices, process payments and maintain business records;
- deliver completed files and provide support or revisions;
- protect our website, detect misuse and maintain security;
- comply with legal, regulatory or record-keeping obligations; and
- improve our services and customer experience.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business, such as website hosting, form processing, cloud storage, file delivery, email, payment, accounting or professional advisory providers.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or with your consent. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
5. Overseas processing
Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Their locations and practices may change over time. By using our website or services, you acknowledge that information may be processed in countries with privacy laws different from those in Australia.
6. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse, interference, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, no website, email system or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably required for the purpose it was collected, to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain records or meet legal obligations. We may securely delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
7. Cookies and website data
Our website may use essential technical features required for security, performance and normal operation. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking on this website. If analytics, advertising or additional cookies are introduced, this policy should be updated accordingly.
8. Access and correction
You may ask us to provide access to personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate information be corrected. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may refuse a request where permitted by law.
9. Marketing communications
We will only send direct marketing where permitted by law. You may ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time. Service-related messages about an active enquiry or booking are not marketing messages.
10. Photographs, video and portfolio use
Project media may contain identifiable people, properties, vehicles or businesses. Our Terms & Conditions explain when Peninsula Visuals may use project media for its portfolio, website, social media, showreels, awards, advertising and other self-promotional purposes, including how a client may request a written restriction before the shoot.
Where content prominently identifies private individuals, children, private residences or other sensitive subjects, we may seek additional permission or take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary identification before publishing it.
11. Links to other websites
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices, and you should review their policies separately.
12. Privacy complaints
Contact us first if you have a privacy concern. We will review the issue and aim to respond within a reasonable time. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
